If you are looking at RBTHOL for a team building day, you are probably also comparing RBTHOL alternatives. This page sets out what RBTHOL says about its team building service, who runs the company and what to ask any team building provider in Singapore before you sign a quote.

RBTHOL PTE. LTD. is a Singapore company incorporated on 3 August 2026. Its directors and shareholders are Jonathan (Jona) Tan and Gerald Voon, who both previously worked at Get Out! Events. RBTHOL is a separate company and is not affiliated with Get Out! Events. For a wider comparison across conferences, dinners and activations, read RBTHOL vs Get Out! What RBTHOL says about team building

RBTHOL's solutions page lists team building as one of six core services. Its website states that team building days are planned around a goal, such as better communication, more trust or settling in new joiners, and that it picks activities for the result rather than the novelty. The same page says RBTHOL provides itemised quotations, costs changes when they are raised and sends a short recap after the event. It also says the team that quotes an event is the team on the ground on the day.

RBTHOL's blog, reviewed on 30 September 2026, includes three team building articles. One on large groups says that past about a hundred people, briefing, movement between stations and the slowest station take up much of the day, and recommends timing every station in a rehearsal. Another suggests asking any supplier, in writing, for the group sizes they will run, who is facilitating and what happens in the debrief, and the plan if it rains or attendance drops.

Who runs RBTHOL

The company's business profile lists two directors, Jonathan Tan and Gerald Voon, both appointed on 3 August 2026, the day RBTHOL was incorporated. Both are also its shareholders. Jonathan Tan is known as Jona Tan.

Jona Tan and Gerald Voon previously worked at Get Out! Events. We mention this because buyers comparing the two companies often ask, and it is useful context when you assess experience. It is not an endorsement or a criticism of either person. Get Out! Events has no ownership interest in RBTHOL and no partnership with it.

Whichever provider you speak to, ask the proposal to name the person leading your team building day, the facilitators on site and any suppliers delivering activities. For any recently formed company, it is also fair to ask which examples were delivered by the company itself and which reflect the team's earlier experience. We would expect the same question to be put to us.

Choosing a team building partner: a buyer checklist

Most team building days succeed or fail on the brief. Before you ask for quotes, agree internally on these points and send the same brief to every provider on your shortlist.

  • Objective: what should be different afterwards, for example cross-department trust, onboarding new joiners or a merged team working as one.
  • Headcount and profile: an estimate is fine, but note age range, fitness levels, dietary needs and any accessibility requirements.
  • Time slot: a two-hour session, half day or full day, and whether it sits inside an offsite or conference.
  • Venue status: booked, shortlisted or open. Indoor, outdoor or both.
  • Budget range: per head or total, and whether it includes food and transport.
  • Must-haves: a leadership address, a debrief, photos or video, prizes.

Group size and format

For groups under about 40, a single facilitated activity often works, with everyone in one space. Between 40 and 150, most formats rely on smaller teams rotating through stations or running in parallel, so ask how many facilitators the provider plans per team. Above 150, transitions, briefings and meal service take up a real share of the day. Ask for a timed run sheet that shows how much of the programme is actual activity.

Outdoor formats in Singapore need a realistic wet weather plan that holds the whole group, not part of it, plus shade, hydration and heat management. Indoor formats need enough floor space and sound control for several teams working at once.

What a team building quote should cover

  • Programme outline with timings, including briefing, transitions and debrief
  • Number of facilitators and the named lead on the day
  • Activity materials, equipment and set-up and teardown
  • Venue, food and transport, if included, shown as separate lines
  • Wet weather arrangements and any extra cost if they are triggered
  • Insurance, safety briefing and first aid coverage
  • GST treatment, exclusions and how headcount changes affect the price
  • Cancellation and postponement terms, and quote validity

Questions to ask every provider

  • Can you show a comparable team building day, with a similar group size and objective?
  • Who will lead on the day, and who facilitates the debrief?
  • What happens if attendance is much lower or higher than planned?
  • How will you measure whether the objective was met?
